The Wisconsin Department of Health Services, in partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, created this free certification program to increase the number of caregivers in our state. The new Certified Direct Care Professional program will make it possible for thousands of caring people to start their careers in health care.
All training is free and online. You’ll learn at your own pace, and you’ll be certified in under 40 hours. You’ll then have the essential skills you need to make life better for older adults or people with a disability. Plus, you can earn up to $500 in bonuses.
Certified Direct Care Professionals are in high demand and have the credentials needed for many workplace opportunities, from home and community-based services to one-on-one care, adult family homes, and more.
